Frequently asked questions

Here is a selection of our most commonly asked questions. Please get in touch if this doesn't help.

Are you back to working normal hours?

Yes our installers are working normal hours, we have Covid regulations in place which enable us to work. We may however, have to change our diary at short notice due to situations outwith our control, but we try our best to keep everything flowing as much as possible.

Is the Aerial Man insured or accredited?

Yes. We are fully insured and members of several organisations such as the CAI, the FSB, and the Good Business Charter.

How much does an aerial installation cost?

For most houses we do roof or loft aerials, whatever will work best for that signal area and property. Have a look at our blog which will explain the costs in a bit more detail.

Can you deal with Sky installations?

Yes. We can install and maintain Sky satellite dishes. If Sky has been out and cannot install or get to your satellite dish, or you would like it installed discretely and they can't do it the way you want, just get in touch and we can help.

I can't get decent broadband where I live, can you help?

We can install a great 4G or 5G (if available) in many properties that have been unable to get decent broadband. If you do have good broadband coming in but your WiFi is terrible, get in touch as we can improve that too.

Can CCTV cameras be installed discretely?

Yes we can install cameras discretely on the property which have various features : colour vision, Infra red, motion sensors etc. We can get them installed so they're subtle or stand out if you want them more noticeable, just let us know and we can pop out for a quick site visit.

I have my own kit, will you install it?

We generally prefer to install our own equipment as it means you're fully guaranteed (parts and labour) but if you've bought something that you want us to install, just get in touch and we can have a look!

Can you install/test structured cabling ie data cabling?

Yes we can, external and internal and also wireless networks too.
